François Stewart Designs honors the creative work of Ida Mae François who lived in Eunice, Louisiana from 1924 - 1994.  Mae was an artist who expressed her talent through sewing, needlepoint, and crochet.  Her granddaughters are modeling several of Mae’s crocheted sweaters and blouses in the photos above.

Today, Mae’s daughter and granddaughters honor her memory through the handmade crochet and knit accessories available from François Stewart Designs.  The Care Caps for Buddies line is inspired by Ida Mae’s battle with breast cancer. 

Lenora François Stewart, Design and Execution. Following in her mother’s artistic footsteps, Lenora designs and makes each item to be unique and chic.

Sarah Stewart, Webmaster.  Sarah translates her grandmother’s artistic talent into her graphic design work for our website and marketing materials.

Rae Stewart, Sales.  Rae inherited the “fashion eye” from her grandmother and provides the spark that gives our accessory line a fashion forward look.
